Trio Of Trialists To Sign

Last updated : 20 August 2002 By Stuart Gillespie
The Herald reports that the one that is most likely to be signed is Gerhad Fellner. Fellner was the player named as a trialist for last Saturday's match against Alloa, but due to circumstances such as Ricky Gillies being sent off, he never got a chance to come on. The Austrian was part of the Falkirk squad who reached the Scottish Cup final in 1997, and their fans describe him as a tall strong player who plays down the right, which is something we could do with. If he signs I reckon he'll be the first Saints player ever to have his own website! It can be found at http://www.gerhard-fellner.at.tt/

The other two players who may be offered a deal are Austrian under 21 internationalist Ivan Kristo, and Gahan internationalist Senanu Abdul. Couldn't find much on them on the web (they don't have their own website unfortunately) but the fact they have played at international/under 21 international level shows they can't be too bad.

Where Saints are getting the money from for this i don't know. The PDE reported last week that whilst all three were training with Saints, Hendrie had told them a deal was unlikely for even one of them unless someone left. Has something changed at the club or is it, once again, national paper rubbish? We'll find out in the next few days.
