BUDDIES TOP STORY:
Danny Lennon's attempts to bring Alan Gow to Saints are officially over. The former Rangers and Falkirk forward today joined Motherwell on a deal that will keep him at Fir Park until the end of the year.
OTHER CLUB HEADLINES:
Former Grimsby Town winger Nick Hegarty has become Saints' 12th and final signing of the summer as the Alan Gow deal collapsed and two other trialists have been told to go away.
The transfer window may close tomorrow but Saints boss Danny Lennon is still keen to expand his squad and has now brought defender Euan Holden to the club on trial.
The under-19s fared better against Rangers than they did against Hearts last week, but they are still searching for their first points of the season after suffering another defeat.
Craig Dargo's second half goal gave Saints their first win of the season against Hibs this afternoon as Danny Lennon took his first victory as Saints boss. Fifth place ahead of the international break is our reward.
Greenhill Road makes its seasonal TV début tomorrow night when Hibs come to Paisley for our final game before we stop for the Euro 2012 qualifiers.
South African trialist Gordon Gilbert will not be offered a contract by Saints boss Danny Lennon. The defender has been training with the squad for a few weeks but has not done enough to earn a deal.
Saints may have made the League Cup final last season but we've fallen at the first hurdle this tome around as a night of drama saw us lose on penalties in Dingwall.
It's over five months since our Hampden League Cup disaster so let's hope the scars have healed sufficiently to allow us to start the journey again tomorrow night against Ross County at Victoria Park.
Defender David Barron has turned down the offer of a new contract with the club. The 22-year-old's current deal expires next summer and it now looks likely he'll leave the club at some point in the next 12 months.
