BUDDIES TOP STORY:
After a couple of good cup performances, it's time to see if we can transfer those displays into some league points. We have some crucial league games coming up, starting with tomorrow night against St. Johnstone.
OTHER CLUB HEADLINES:
Saints are set to land another cash boost from cup competitions after Sky Sports chose to show next week's Scottish Cup replay against Rangers live on TV. The move should be worth over £90,000 to the club.
Saints have this afternoon issued a statement claiming there is no issue over bonus payments for last week's Co-operative Insurance Cup semi-final win over Hearts.
Mike Tumilty is the referee for Wednesday night's battle of the Saints as our run of midweek games continues. He's only taken charge of one of our games so far this season - and curiously it was also against St. Johnstone.
Media reports today suggest a row could be brewing at St. Mirren Park over bonus payments for Tuesday night's League Cup win over Hearts. Is this an early attempt to unsettle us ahead of next month's cup final against Rangers?
The Scottish Cup dream goes on for Saints after a fine performance against champions Rangers in Paisley this afternoon. If anyone can feel hard done by about not getting through, it surely has to be Saints.
Well here's a rarity - a home game against Rangers on a Saturday. In recent years these have usually been played during the week or, at best, on a Sunday. And, even more unbelievably, it's live on the BBC.
After an encouraging draw against SPL basement boys Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup, spirits were high ahead of a game against Livingston at Love Street. It wasn't to last.
