Shuggy Leaves

Shuggy was offered similar terms to the other players who signed new contracts, however decided these were't good enough for him. He decided instead to go to the Paisley Daily Express and tell them he was being offered a ridiculously small amount, something which is totally untrue.

It's a shame to see Shuggy leave, who scored the goal against Stirling Albion in May 1998 which kept the club up, and possibly alive. He'll be missed, but it means a space is on the wage bill for another player.

Signing on today at Love Street was 17 year old defender Kirk Broadfoot from Hibs. He was out of contract in a few days so has signed on at Love Street. Despite being signed for the under 18's team, he has stated he plans to make the break through into the first team by Christmas! It's that sort of determination we need.

Also spotted at Love Street today was Liam Keogh, or a Liam Keogh lookalike. Keogh played for about 15 minutes against Raith Rovers last season before being injured, and the club have invited the man that scored the goal that won Celtic last seasons under 21 league back for pre season training.
