Nothing to see here

The main thing from a Saints perspective was the AGM last Sunday. It seems to have passed off relatively quietly, with little information making it as far as the web. What has come out is that Danny Lennon is looking to bring in a couple of first division players during January and ship out some high earners. Quite who they are wasnt mentioned, although getting someone to take players with big wages off our hands won't be easy. Also, he has spoken to Steven Thompson and Burnley about the Saints supporting striker coming to the club - perhaps that oft mentioned rumour will finally come true!

The other thing that has been going in is talk of restructuring the SPL. By an amazing coincidence, the second part of Henry McLeish's review into Scottish football came up with the exact same structure for the top flight as the SPl. Funny that. The six clubs not in the SPL's working party have also decided to show they too can come up with silly ideas and have proposed play-offs for the title. Sadly, the idea of a 16 team top flight has not been mentioned once.

That's about it for the moment, so here's the SFA president with a toy dinosaur. Sadly, it's not a joke - I wish it was! http://sport.stv.tv/football/scottish-premier/aberdeen/216890-video-george-peat-brings-a-plastic-dinosaur-to-sfa-press-conference/
