No more signings

As a result, we have made just two signings during the transfer window: Rory Loy has arrived from Rangers, while Graham Carey today joined from Celtic. With Mo Camara, Dennis Wyness, Stephen McGinn and Paul Quinn all leaving, it means our already small squad has two less bodies than it did a month ago.

It's a very disappointing state of affairs. Although it could be argued that only McGinn was a regular this season, there's a fair chance Camara would have been if he hadn't been injured. The left back problem still hasn't been resolved as Carey is a winger (although watch as we play him in defence), we're still short in the centre of defence and we still don't have a right winger.

Stevenson wouldn't have solved that problem, and it's debatable if he's even up to SPL standard. It had seemed likely he would sign today, but new Hearts boss Jim Jeffries got involved and he's likely to sign for the Tynecastle side instead. The only good thing is he can't play tomorrow as he's cup tied.
