News Round Up

Last updated : 20 April 2007 By Stuart Gillespie
The major story involves the new ground. The Herald yesterday published a front page story regarding Tesco buying Love Street, and media reports since have included some fantastically sensationalist comments giving the impression the supermarket giant are doing all this without telling us and against our will.

The article, which can be seen http://www.theherald.co.uk/news/other/display.var.1338751.0.0.php doesn't appear to add anything new, even though BBC Scotland yesterday claimed it was a done deal. The absence of an official announcement from the club speaks volumes.

On the player front, four younger players have been released while Stephen McGinn, Marc McAusland and Mark Docherty (currently on loan at Montrose) have been offered senior deals. Aberdeen's Dyron Daal and Celtic's John Kennedy are alleged targets for next season.

Finally, SMiSA have started their player of the year competition. To find out how to vote, head over to their website at http://www.smisa.net/
