New takeover bid tomorrow

Last updated : 23 August 2012 By Stuart Gillespie

It has, not for the first time, been pretty quiet on the takeover front of late. At least this time there's a good reason for that as 10000Hours have been waiting to see what changes there will be to money coming into the club as a result of Rangers' demise.

According to a statement tonight they now feel they have enough information to submit a revised bid tomorrow - although curiously they are still in the process of informing their funders (note how this has become a plural when we were told it was merely Big Issue Invest) how things have changed. It'll be interesting to see what happens if their bid is accepted and then BII pull out when they're given the full details...

Hopefully this bid will finally put an end to things. Either it will be accepted and 10000Hours can got on with their plan or it will be rejected and that will be the end of their efforts. Given how long this has been dragging on I won't hold my breath.
