Gus In Partick Link

Last updated : 21 December 2004 By Stuart Gillespie
Co managers Gerry Britton and Derek Whyte both stepped down to consider options they were given, and 105 year old John Lambie came in for another spell in the hot seat. It seems that he's only there for a few games though, so they need a new boss. Partick's chairman also resigned.

Saints are third in division one, Partick are second bottom. Why on earth would anyone move from one to the other, unless they were on treble pay and getting a huge transfer budget. If we were ninth and Partick were third I wouldn't expect us to be looking at their manager.

Other candidates include Allan Kernaghan and John McCormack. I don't see Gus and assistant Andy Millen moving on for a second, but it's nice for our managers to be linked with a move for a change. Usually we can't get rid of them soon enough.
