Glass won't be signing

News that Glass was training with the squad raised concerns among Saints fans, who saw him as an equivalent of Allan Johnston, who was with the club last season and hardly played. However, Lennon is quoted in yesterday's Paisley Daily Express as saying he won't be signing him.

He said: "Stephen phoned me and asked if he could use our facilities at Ralston, so we’ve brought him in, but he’s only here to get himself fit, that’s all."

That seems fairly clear cut - yet in yesterday's Daily Record, Lennon says: "Stephen has been offered training facilities after leaving Dunfermline and it gives us a chance to have a look at him as well."

If there's no intention of signing him, why take a look at him?

Trialists currently with the squad are American Niko Gkionis and former Falkirk midfielder Sean Lynch. Lennon is hoping to bring Irish duo Stephen O'Donnell and Anton Flood in for a look, but doesn't know when as Galway United are currently in the middle of their season.
