Dayan's Trial Extended

Dayan has played against Stirling Albion, Newry City and Dungannon Swifts, with varying reports from Saints fans. In general, it seems he is extremely good at linking the play and making runs, but a bit poor at finishing. Reports from Israel - who Dayan has represented at both under 20 and under 21 levels - suggest he is actually a midfielder, which could explain that.
Dayan will have two more opportunities to win a contract - against Dumbarton on Thursday and Morton on Saturday. Plans to play Swansea City in a friendly tomorrow night have fallen through.
Dayan was not the only trialist who played in Saints friendly against Dungannon - there was also an Argentine left winger. However, there is no news of him as yet - what that means is anyone's guess!
