There's nothing too revolutionary with what is going to happen, just a few changes due to a lack of time or need for what went before. Hopefully, the alterations will meet with your approval.
Staying the same: Match reports, previews, news items, under-19 coverage and all that sort of stuff.
Changing:
Know the Ref: When this started early last year, it seemed a worthwhile task. However, since then every SPL referee has been covered a number of times and I really see no need to continue this feature. It is too time consuming when it is basically repeating what was written just weeks before.
Ex Saints: When I get time, this will be tidied up. It will now only include players who have made a competitive first team appearance, unless they are a notable youngster or trialist - such as Paul Ritchie. I'm also planning to do wee round-ups of how former players are getting on and I do plan to add the ones who left during the summer at some stage.
Editorial: A part of the site that doesn't get updated regularly enough. At the very least, there will be one viewpoint article a month during the season, hopefully more. It might not be on Saints, but football in general. If you want to contribute articles - and it's a decent thing to have on a CV if you want to be a journalist - get in touch using the contact panel.
Man of the match poll: As the poll is now effectively hidden on the site, this has been ditched for the new season as it would be a waste of time.
Beat the Manager: I'm planning to have news items at least once a month about what's going on in our free to enter prediction game, so get involved.
