Bald Quits Football

Last updated : 23 May 2003 By Stuart Gillespie
Bald made only one appearance for Saints, when he was in goals for our final league game of the season against Alloa, and we lost 4-0. That had nothing to do with his decision, instead he says that someone he knew told him about an opening in the company he worked for. After the interview he had the job if he wanted it, and decided to quit football.

He has not ruled out a return to football in the future, but Mirren Mad would like to wish him all the best anyway.

Remember this bit from a Mirren Mad story last week? "Instead the club are planning some friendlies against lower league teams so we can hammer them. Are we playing East Stirlingshire then?" Well it seems Mirren Mad was bang on. The club have provisinally arranged friendlies against East Stirlingshire and Stirling Albion.

Elsewhere, Rangers have released Paul McHale. It now remains to be seen whether we'll sign him or he'll go elsewhere.
