Saints v Queen of the South

So far the results haven't been good this season. From five league games we have managed just five points, and one win. We are out of the league cup and were put out of the league challenge cup in the quarter finals after unconvincing victories over lower division opponents. A massive turn around was carried out over the summer, seeing a lot of the useless players leave and some new players brought in, as well as a few former Saints such as Barry Lavety, Kevin McGowne and Paul McKnight. We have a manager who seems to start with a back four despite us looking more solid with a back three. Things must improve, and there is no time like the present.

David Jack, Brian McGinty, Gus MacPherson, Simon Lappin and Mark Dempsie are all missing for one reason or another, but Kevin Twaddle has recovered from his gum problems which is nice. Eddie Annand and Hugh Murray made their first Saints appearances last week, and could make the bench again. Paul McKnight is also fit (!) and could join them on the subs bench.

Queen of the South suffered a 2-0 defeat at home last week, after dominating much of the match against Raith Rovers. Let's hope the same doesn't happen to us, we play well all game and come out on top.
