Saints Career: Rhys came through the club's youth system but didn't make it as far as the pitch, although he did get on the bench a few times. He was released in the summer of 2010.

Post Saints Career: Rhys was quickly snapped up by Airdrie and did so well he was soon offered a new contract and made vice captain. However, 18 months later it seems some issues had arisen as he was loaned to East Stirling until the end of the season, when he was released.
