Ex Saints: Paul McQuade

Last updated : 12 May 2012 By Stuart Gillespie

Name: Paul McQuade

Current Club: Unattached

Position: Forward

Saints Career: Paul was one of many players who followed manager Danny Lennon from Cowdenbeath in 2010, signing a two year contract. He looked good in pre-season training, but an injury ruled him out just before the season started. Sadly, that patteron was repeated many times during his first year at the club and when he was fit he rarely got a chance. The only time he did start was against Peterhead in the Scottish Cup and he scored his only Saints goals. He was loaned to Forfar towards the end of the season - and got injured. It looked as if he'd be more involved the following season, but at the end of August 2011 his contract was ripped up and he was released.

Post Saints Career: Paul wasted no time in finding a new club, dropping back down to the second division by joining East Fife. He failed to score a single goal there and was let go in the summer of 2012.
