Ex Saints: Paddy Cregg

Last updated : 13 July 2012 By Stuart Gillespie

Name: Paddy Cregg

Current Club: St Johnstone

Position: Midfield

Saints Career: Paddy was brought in by Danny Lennon in October 2010 in a bid to beef up the midfield - which spared him the fate of signing for Morton. The former Arsenal, Falkirk and Hibs man was shaky at first before hitting a decent run of form. However, that disappeared after the turn of the year and he made things worse by hiding an injury against Hibs, resulting in him being subbed. Didn't feature a great deal after that. Sometimes tough tackling, but a lot of the time a ghost.

Post Saints Career: Paddy was released in 2011 and after attempting to win a deal in America ended up joining Bury. He made eight appearances for the League One side before being let go at the end of the season. He returned to Scotland for the 2012/13 season, winning a contract with St Johnstone after a successful trial spell.
