Saints Career: Jon came through the Saints youth system and was loaned to Dumbarton in 2010. After overcoming a broken ankle he rattled in 13 goals, earning him a first team shot at the Buddies the following season. However, he was only able to make one start and had to be content with sub appearances before being loaned out to Hamilton in January 2011 - a bizarre move seeing as we didn't have too many strikers! The big forward netted nine goals for the New Douglas Park side before the end of the season, impressive going when playing for a side not renowned for scoring goals. I'd have liked to see him get a chance as he couldn't have done much more than he was asked while out on loan.
Post Saints Career: After completing his loan spell at Hamilton in 2012 Jon was allowed to join them permanently.
