Ex Saints: Jeroen Tesselaar

Last updated : 22 June 2012 By Stuart Gillespie

Name: Jeroen Tesselaar

Current Club: Kilmarnock

Position: Defender

Saints Career: Jeroen joined Saints after a successful trial spell in 2011, having previously played for Telstar and AZ Alkmaar in Holland. It proved to be a good move for Saints as the fullback quickly became a fans favourite, teeing up both goals in a 2-1 win over Hibs at Easter Road. Solid at the back, a good tackler and capable of making good runs, the Dutchman was also capable of providing some terrific crosses. It looked as if he would stay at the club for another season when it was revealed he had verbally agreed a new contract, but for whatever reason that fell through and he left the club for pastures new.

Post Saints Career: Frustratingly for Saints fans, Jeroen decided his interests - be they football or financial - were best served by going to Kilmarnock, the Rugby Park side snapping him up on a two year deal.
