Ex Saints: Garry Brady

Last updated : 17 July 2011 By Stuart Gillespie

Name: Garry Brady

Current Club: Brechin City

Position: Midfielder

Saints Career: Left Dundee for Saints after we were promoted in 2006 and put in a string of good performances in is early appearances. The former Spurs and Newcastle man had great vision and passing and wasn't afraid to have a shot. However, as the season went on his form dipped and he was rather disappointing the following season. Surprisingly given a new contract in 2008 and his form picked up impressively, while he chipped in with a few goals against Inverness Caley Thistle. That was enough to earn another contract but he was disappointing again - only for new boss Danny Lennon to keep him on. However, he quickly realised he was finished and he barely featured. Rather slow and unfit, he seemed to disappear from the team for a few weeks than start against one of the Old Firm! My abiding memory of him will be when we faced Rangers at Hampden when he skinned Steven Whittaker, only for the defender to stroll back and take the ball off him without breaking sweat.

Post Saints Career: After being released in 2011, Garry dropped down a few leagues by signing for second division Brechin.
