Former clubs: Gretna, Brechin, Dundee United, St Johnstone, Hearts

Contracted to: Summer 2014

Danny arrived at Saints during the summer following a successful trial spell. He started his career with the original Gretna and was part of the "Living the Dream" period at the club, leaving for Dundee United in 2008 as the dream went sour. After 18 months there the leftback headed for St Johnstone and had an impressive couple of years in Perth, only leaving because he planned to go to England. So the obvious move for him was to sign for Hearts! His first season at Tynecastle went extremely well and he scored in the Scottish Cup final win over Hibs, but the following campaign he suffered a serious knee injury that kept him out for many months. Shortly after he suffered that injury Hearts announced they wouldn't be offering him a new deal. Trial spells with Carlisle, Sheffield United and Blackpool came and went in the summer of 2013 before he signed for Saints on a one year deal, which has the option of a further season. If he gets back to full fitness and avoids injury he should prove to be a fantastic signing.
