Saints kicked off their pre-season friendlies with a convincing three goal victory over Stirling Albion. Mark Corcoran opened the scoring before a Ryan McCay free kick and a Stewart Kean penalty completed the scoring.

Saints had a trialist playing for some of the match, believed to be a tall, Israeli striker. It seems he started the match well before fading out of things, so it will be interesting to see what happens from here.

Gary mason and Mark Howard made their first appearances in Saints colours and the starting 11 was: Howard, Reid, McCay, MacAusland, Potter, Mason, Brady, Trialist, Corcoran, Burke, Kean.

A reasonable result with that team, although Hibs did beat them 5-0 on Saturday!

The next friendly is on Thursday night against Newry City.
