Saints 3-2 Aberdeen

The goals are fair flying in at Greenhill Road these days. The first tonight came after just six minutes and, as usual, there was one for the visitors at the end. Thankfully, it didn't cost us this time.

This will be brief as I wasn't there and am not felling well (although am feeling better than I was two hours ago!). There were two changes to the side that picked up the crucial victory over Hamilton on Saturday, Craig Dargo and Aaron Mooy taking over from Kenny McLean and Jim Goodwin. However, there was another one before the game as Lee Mair pulled up in the warm-up and John Potter started.

Higdon and Dargo continued where they left off on Saturday as the small one set up the big one to score with a stunning volley after just six minutes. Aberdeen had a goal disallowed as they dominated the rest of the first half, but couldn't make the break through.

However, they did just that a couple of minutes into the second half when Chris Maguire's shot was deflected into the Saints net by Hugh Murray.

But 10 minutes later we were back in front, a great move involving Paul McGowan and Steven Thomson allowing David van Zanten to cross for Dargo to score a tap-in. Incredibly, the lead was extended 10 minutes later when Thomson pounced on Michael Paton's mistake to slam home the third.

That should have been that - but, of course, it wasn't. As stoppage time began, Robert Milsom pulled one back for the Dons, but thankfully an equaliser didn't follow and we held on for three points.

So, two wins in a row for the first time in 18 months and now a 12 point gap with just 21 to play for. Surely, surely we can't mess this up... can we?
