Saints 2-2 Queen of the South

Saints made a few changes thanks to the injury situation. Brian McGinty started in a three man strike force of Scott McLean and Mark Roberts, whilst Ricky Gillies passed a late fitness test.

Early on Saints had the best of it, with McLean looking very impressive. After a few attacks McGinty cut it back for McLean who couldn't miss, scoring from Jose Quitongo's favourite distance. A few minutes later McLean almost returned the favour but McGinty missed.

Like the players, I will give up now having said the main detail. Queen of the South equalised early on in the first half with a decent goal, before Saints retook the lead minutes later from a penalty which Gillies scored. It didn't take long for the scores to be level again, which saw Saints goalie Kris Robertson charge out his goal only for the Queen of the South guy to square the ball to a team mate who rolled it into the net!

Sorry there isn't more, but as the team couldn't be arsed yesterday for most of the game why the hell should I? Gillies, Paul Rudden, Mark Roberts and, after the first 20 minutes, McGinty were all awful. I don't remember Paul McHale getting the ball either.

Sort it out Saints, and sort it now. John Coughlin, get this team playing well for 90 minutes or we'll be in trouble. We aren't safe yet, not by a long shot.
