Motherwell 3-0 Saints

Last updated : 21 December 2013 By Stuart Gillespie

The feel good factor that was evident during our fine run of form, which saw us lose just once between the end of September and mid December - has now vanished. We can't score, aren't picking up points and the team selection today seems to have baffled a few fans.

Lee Mair replaced Marc McAusland, which was fair enough as Cheesy didn't have the best of games at Pittodrie last week. What was a bit unexpected was Gary Harkins replacing John McGinn. Aside from the cup win over Queen of the South, Harkins barely featured in our good run and hasn't started a league game we've won.

Sadly, that run continued today. Henrik Anier fired Motherwell in front after half an hour before John Sutton set up Lionel Ainsworth to score the second just before half-time. Any hope of a comeback was killed off midway through the second half when Anier scored his second and Motherwell's third.

Apologies for the briefness of the report, I wasn't there today and the FootyMad network is playing up so didn't see the point typing up loads of details few people would see.
