Motherwell 2-1 Saints

Things are beginning to look grim and the unrest in the support is starting to grow. We're two points behind anyone else and have won just one league game this season. Manager Gus MacPherson needs to sort things out - and fast.

The only bright spot this season has been Billy Mehmet, who has been on fire and scored again today when he fired home Steven Robb's cross after half an hour.

The inevitable happened just after the break when former Buddie John Sutton nodded home John Sutton's corner.

The winner arrived just after the hour mark when another Hammell cross was bundled home by, of all people, Bob Malcolm. Losing a goal to someone like him is probably a sackable offence on its own!

To make things worse, Franco Miranda became the third Saints player sent off this season when he was dismissed for an off the ball incident with Sutton. Perhaps next time Franco you should hit him harder - and before he scores!

A big improvement is needed or we're going to be playing catch-up in the relegation battle. Still, it's only Rangers next.
