Motherwell 1-1 Saints

Last updated : 26 August 2012 By Stuart Gillespie

The youngster struck in stoppage time to level the scores, former Buddie Michael Higdon having put Motherwell in front in the first few minutes. I wasn't there and got in fairly late on Sunday so this will be extremely brief to say the least!

David van Zanten started for Saints, taking the place of the injured Darren McGregor, but aside from that it was as you were. Disaster struck after a couple of minutes when some shocking defending allowed Henrik Ojaama to tee up Higdon for the opener.

We didn't buckle and had chances to equalise before the break before absolutely dominating the second half. Somehow we didn't find a goal but were helped when Shaun Hutchison was sent off for two bookings.

Our pressure finally paid off in stoppage time when Steven Thompson's header was saved by Darren Randolph and Reilly managed to force the goal over the line for his first ever goal.

A decent result considering Motherwell will be pushing for Europe this season. And that's all you're getting as I'm shattered - apologies for any spelling mistakes!
