Hearts 3-2 Saints

It's the first time we've lost in Gorgie since we returned to the SPL in 2006 so I suppose we shouldn't complain too much. However, having scored first - and levelled just before Kingston struck - it's disappointing not to take anything from the game.

Ryan McCay was the unlikely first goalscorer, hammering in a shot that resulted in his first ever goal - perhaps he does deserve that contract after all! Sadly, the lead last just eight minutes with Eggert Jonsson equalising for Hearts and Gary Glen put them in front just before half time.

It looked as if Gary Mason had earned us a point with a fine goal with 12 minutes left, but a few minutes later Kingston struck to send his home with nothing.

Results elsewhere mean tenth is probably the best we can finish, while Hamilton will replace Gretna in next season's SPL after securing the first division title.
