Dumbarton 0-3 Saints

Again, it's a game that means nothing, but as it came just two days after our last match it's a good result. There were big changes to the team that faced East Fife, with trialists starting at centre half and on the right wing. Keeper Mark Howard came in and the likes of Stephen O'Donnell, Craig Dargo and Dennis Wyness all started.

O'Donnell got the first one in the opening 45 minutes and Dargo added the second shortly after the break. Sub Billy Mehmet grabbed the final goal and, incredibly, it came from a corner. That's two goals from corners in as many games - what's going on?

Early reports suggest the defender who played as trialist is worth another look while the right winger provided entertainment due to beating himself. A third trialist did appear in the second half who did well, but it seems it was actually Joe Bradley of the under-19s.

Roll on Ayr United.
