Ayr United 1-1 Saints

Jamie Dunbar made his first league start for Saints whilst Chris Kerr was dropped.

The opener came from James Grady, after Saints Ricky Gillies flicked it on for him, which was awfully nice. I'm guessing we were in the away kit today so I'll let Ricky away with that seeing as the light blue does clash a bit. Before this Graham Guy had came on for Paul Rudden after just 18 minutes, so obviously he had picked up an injury.

On the hour mark Dunbar crossed for Martin Cameron, who's header hit the post as it went in for the equaliser. Just before Brian McGinty had replaced Mark Yardley in what was probably a tactical move.

With 10 minutes remaining Hugh Murray was sent off, so will miss next week's 125th anniversary game. It also means he won't have to come up against his old mate Steven McGarry, now playing for Ross County.

With a fair number of players injured and 10 men for a spell at the end, and our recent record against Ayr being quite poor, I'm quite pleased with a point. Let's hope we can get more, and not go a goal behind, against Ross County next week.
