Airdrie United 1-4 Saints

As expected, Saints fielded the same team that played SPL side Motherwell off the pitch last weekend, and seemed to do the same again today to Airdrie.

An own goal from Airdrie player Stephen McKenna got the ball rolling midway through the first half. Anderson scored his first Saints goal on the hour mark, before the in form Mark Corcoran added a third ten minutes later.

Airdrie's Allan McManus was given his marching orders soon after, and Anderson added a second with a free kick. Brian McPhee scored a late consolation goal for the Diamonds.

The last time Saints scored four was when they gubbed Ross County a month ago. We then went on a poor run of form, which we can't afford to repeat.

Saints good day was completed when Hamilton failed to beat Queen of the South and we extended our lead to eleven points with thirteen games left. A trip to the Accies is what we face next weekend, can we finally win on the plastic pitch?
