Aberdeen 2-0 Saints

I am not surprised we lost. The last time we won at Pittodrie I was two, so not to take anything from the game is not a surprise.

However, the lack of goals is becoming increasingly worrying, and so are the team selections. Paddy Cregg is injured so it would have been an ideal chance for Hugh Murray to come back in. Instead, we get Sean Lynch, who has been very poor of late.

And up front it's Craig Dargo with Paul McGowan, the latter in sore need of being dropped. Paul McQuade and Aaron Mooy had to make do with places on the bench, perhaps to protect the latter from all the abuse he's getting from the fans who can't watch him play. The other change was Lee Mair coming in for the injured Marc McAusland.

Silly thing is, Dargo shot wide early on. Sadly, that was as good as it was to get. Aberdeen had plenty of pressure and finally made it count early in the second half when Vernon forced a Chris Maguire effort over the line.

Just over 10 minutes later it was good night as Vernon headed home a cross. The only good thing was Hamilton losing.

Sadly, Peterhead romped to victory and will fancy beating us on Tuesday night.
