Know the Ref - Motherwell home (part one)

No, it's not a typo. We really did score six times with this man in charge - and it was this season! The game in question was the bizarre League Cup match against East Stirling, which we won 6-3.

The seven goals in a game trick came last season, when we gubbed Dumbarton in the League Cup. Between the two matches, Billy Mehmet scored eight goals, so get your money on him to score on Saturday.

Mr O'Reilly's other Saints game last season were a 1-0 at Kilmarnock, which was our third win in a row - an omen perhaps - and a 3-2 defeat at Tannadice. We were ahead of Dundee United twice yet still lost and it was arguably that game where the rot set in.

The game against Dumbarton was Mr O'Reilly's first involving us and he's only done one with Motherwell to date. That was a 3-2 win over Falkirk last season and there doesn't seem to be much of note.

The only thing of interest so far this season is he booked 10 players in a single first division game without sending anyone off. Could be a busy day on Saturday!
