This game had been postponed numerous times because of the bad weather and the fact New Broomfield doesn't have undersoil heating. From a Saints perspective, it was worth the wait.
It took us just five minutes to get the ball rolling when a Sean Burns cross was deflected into the net. Jamie McKernon got the second from the spot after Jon McShane had been fouled, although Airdrie pulled one back almost immediately.
However, midway through the second half McShane wrapped things up with a nice finish to secure our place in the semi-finals.
