Once again first teamers were in short supply. Skipper Jim Goodwin played as he is suspended, with goalie Christopher Dilo and forwards Thomas Reilly and Anton Brady also starting. None of the rest of the team had played a single minute for the first team.
That didn't seem to be a problem though as the young Buddies dominated the game. Just before the break Adam Brown's goal gave Saints the lead and it proved to be enough for all three points.
