It's the second week running the under-19s have managed a draw, but this one will have felt like a win - even though former Rangers youngster Frankie Owens had us in front after just five minutes.
Things went a bit wrong after that with Ryan Gauld equalising just before the break before Greg Whyte and Jordan Moore scored to give United a convincing lead.
Saints pushed for a way back into the match and Jack Smith reduced the deficit when he headed in a cross from Owens. A corner in stoppage time saw everyone - including Saints goalie Michael McKinven - in the United box and Michael Fulton forced the ball over the line to secure a precious point.
