Jaosn Naismith has been added to the Scotland under-17 squad for the UEFA Championship matches later this month. The 16-year-old joins Saints team-mate Craig Slater in the party that will travel to Italy.

Naismith has played for the under-19s a number of times this season and has also made the squad for the first team, so it seems he and Slater are real stars for the future.

The games in the Elite Round, Group One of the Under-17 European Championships will see Scotland face Italy, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, with the first being against the Italians on Wednesday.

Well done lads!
