It wasn't as strong a team as has been seen in the first two games, David van Zanten and John McGinn the only first team regulars involved - although the likes of Thomas Reilly, Christopher Dillo and Sean Kelly also played.
It was Jon Scullion who opened the scoring though, the young forward finishing well in the first half. The Buddies had to wait until late on to clinch the win, Reilly bagging the second goal with a few minutes left.
