Reserves 2-3 Hibs

It was a reasonably strong Saints side, with Hamilton and McGinn joined by the likes of Chris Smith, Dennis Wyness and Scott Cuthbert. There were also some youngsters starting the game who will gain greatly from playing alongside some of the more senior members of the squad.

After a goalless first half, Hibs took the lead just after the break through Ross Campbell. Hamilton levelled things up with a penalty five minutes later, but just after the hour mark Steve Pinau restored Hibs advantage.

With just under 15 minutes remaining, McGinn looked as if he'd salvaged a point for Saints with another equaliser, but soon after Pinau scored again to give Hibs the win.

It's a disappointing result as the reserves had been on a good run lately.

Next week sees the last ever reserve game at Love Street when Hearts are the visitors.
