The reserves cruised to a comfortable win over Hamilton this afternoon to move up to sixth place in the league. A mixture of first teamers and youngsters proved more than enough to see off the Accies.
The hosts welcomed back influential defender Mark McLaughlin from injury, while former Hibs midfielder Brian Kerr featured as a trialist. The likes of Chris Smith, Andy Dorman and Steven Robb were in the Saints line-up, but with injuries mounting at the club the likes of Tonet, Tom Brighton and David Barron were all absent.Saints took the lead after seven minutes through a goal from youngster Paul Burns before striker Jim Hamilton scored against "his" team to double the lead midway through the half.
Joel Thomas got one back for Accies almost straight away, but Marc McAusland restored the lead just before half time. Kyle Faulds sealed the impressive win with a goal on the hour mark.
All in all a good win for Saints and hopefully one that can be repeated against Dundee United next week.
