Due to the injuries to a number of fringe players at Love Street - such as Tom brighton and Stephen O'Donnell - many of the younger players at the club are being given their chance in the team. As well as Carson, players like Kyle Faulds and Jon McShane are also getting a chance and can only benefit from playing alongside more experienced players.
The match was played at Gayfield and Dorman's goal on the hour mark hopefully suggests the midfielder is close to recapturing the form he showed last season. Carson came off the bench to score the second with ten minutes remaining to complete a good day for the second string.
