Saints v Saints Preview

With it being a meaningless end of season game I'd reckon they can. Ned/chav boy Peter MacDonald is out injured meaning he can't have another bash at assaulting Andy Millen, something he was sent off for at Love Street in February. At the start of the season the Fakes had three sent off in Paisley, including the now departed Michael Moore. They shocked the fans in December when they failed to get a player sent off and could well repeat that fine achivement tomorrow.

The Fakes have changed their manager recently, Airdrie veteran Owen Coyle replacing John Connolly, who had impressively managed to make the Saintees worse than when Billy Stark was still in charge! Coyle has yet to win a game since taking the job so no doubt he'll get his first points on the board tomorrow. New St. Mirren signing Ian Maxwell will play his last game for his current club tomorrow before making the switch in the summer, and hopefully he can go out with an own goal.

The game is meaningless but we're still chasing the rewardless second place and we currently sit level with Clyde but well clear on goal difference. Saints boss Gus MacPherson will probably want to secure this superb placing in the league so it's unlikely players such as David McKenna and Scott Gemmill will get to start. Craig Hinchcliffe might return between the sticks after missing last week's match with Ross County through injury, although Chris Smith did well and may retain his place. Mixu Paatelainen is still injured and there is more bad news with the fact that Brian McGinty is back from injury.

A win would seal second place bu I don't see it. Fakes to win 2-0.
