Saints v Saints Preview

We could welcome back (if thats the right phrase) Kevin McGowne to the starting lineup, as contract rebel Mark Dempsie is apparently struggling. Brian McGinty also has a knock so we could see a return to the starting lineup for one of Robert Dun, Allan Russell or Barry Lavety, however the latter apparently looked unfit in the reserves during the week. Maybe it's time to give a youngster a chance, as David McKenna has certainly impressed when he ahs been given the opportunity in the first team.

As per usual, Kevin Twaddle is injured, along with Eddie Annand and Laurie Ellis. Twaddle and Annand are meant to be back in action soon though, which is good news as we need a striker. Craig Hinchcliffe will hopefully make his first start for a few months having finally signed his new contract.

St. Johnstone are, like ourselves, not very good. They lost 2-0 away last week, like ourselves and are having another terrible season, like ourselves. Billy Stark has been under pressure almost since he took the job there, and with them probably failing to win the league this season, he could be on his way out very soon.

Theyhave had to cope this season with the lose of Paul Hartley, although Keigan Parker has returned to form and they have signed the likes of Simon Donnely and big Mixu, who used to play for Hibs. The fact they can afford higher wages (due to their ridiculous admission fees) and are still rubbish maybe shows that Stark is indeed useless.

The game could be off tomorrow but I predict that, if it goes ahead, Saints will definitely take something from the game.
