Saints v Inverness Caledonian Thistle Preview

Last updated : 06 February 2004 By Stuart Gillespie
Saints win over Airdrie United in the last round was our first Scottish cup win for ten years. Should we make the quarter finals, it will be the first time since we won the cup back in 1987. A few weeks ago I wasn't too confident about us doing it, but after last weeks excellent draw against Caley Thistle (which was so nearly a win) I feel we have a good chance of progressing further.

Allan Russell will be back in the squad for tomorrow's match, however Kevin Twaddle, Eddie Annand, Laurie Ellis, Gus MacPherson and David Jack are all unavailible for selection. The only possible change to last weeks lineup will be the return of Kevin McGowne, though with his replacement Kirk Broadfoot apparently performing well last week, the captain may find it hard to get back into the team. Here's hoping.

Paul Ritchie. Liam Keogh. Former Saints. Finish managers off. Right Caley finished with :-)

Can we win? Course we can! Here's to Spartans at Love Street in the next round :-)
