Saints v Hamilton Academical Preview

Last updated : 25 November 2005 By Stuart Gillespie
Hamilton are apparently in the middle of an injury crisis, with the likes of pat Keogh and Bryan Carrigan both doubtful. This is bad for us. Whenever a team has an injury crisis and we are expected to win, we usually mess up. Therefore, it's highly likely that our great home run will end tomorrow.

Hamilton currently have former Saint Scott MacKenzie on loan from Falkirk. I always liked Scott when he was at Love Street and felt he never got a fair deal, although he didn't help things by singing Rangers songs at the club dinner one week! Thankfully the chances of him scoring against us tomorrow are as slim as a Brian McGinty goal.

Even better for Saints fans is the fact that Brian McGinty shouldn't be starting thanks to the brilliant form of strikers Stewart Kean and John Sutton. For the first time in a while we have two good strikers and do not need to call on the manager to change things to get some goals. Keep it up guys!

We have a few injury worries of our own ahead of tomorrow. Craig Hinchcliffe is out for the season, whilst back up goalkeeper Daniel McColgan is also injured, meaning we'll not have a sub keeper. Kevin McGowne is a major doubt, whilst it's also possible Hugh Murray could miss the game too. Ryan McCay is the only other likely absentee as he is lacking match fitness.

After a break last week, Saints should be nice and fresh. However, Hamilton hammered five past Queen of the South last weekend and I think they'll win 1-0 tomorrow.
