Saints v Dunfermline Athletic Preview

As far as Saints are concerned, it's another of those games that comes into the "must not lose" category rather than "must win". A draw would still be reasonable, but a win would be ideal. We went out to beat Falkirk last week and came away with three points - the same again on Monday night will surely see the same result.

There should not be any changes to the team that beat Falkirk on Monday night. They played superbly and without fear and could probably have won by even more had it not been for some poor finishing and some inform goalkeeping. It's our best away win in the SPL ever and has to be followed up with a good result on Monday night.

The gap is currently four points - a win would put it to seven with just three games to play. That's why we have to go for a win and put in another good performance. The only change I would make is to take Richard Brittain off of corner taking duties. Craig Molloy is the only absentee with a reoccurence of his foot injury.

Dunfermline are fighting for the lives and know they have to win to give themselves a realistic chance of saving themselves. They may have a cup final to look forward to, but most of their players would swap that for SPL survival. They have been on a good run in recent weeks and have won four of their last five games - not bad for a team in such trouble.

A win on Monday would make things nice and easy for Saints, and as they don't like making things easy I reckon Dunfermline will win 1-0.
