Saints v Clyde Preview

Clyde have done far better than most so called experts, such as myself, expected of them. After the shambles of Graham Roberts' amazing trial system, that saw postmen , dustmen and the like phoning up and asking for a trial, they seem to have sorted themselves out a bit. They've been on a good run of form over the last few months, although messed up a bit last week when they became the first team to lose to Brechin. Oops!

Saints supporters will not be short of people to shout abuse at tomorrow. Former Morton players Alex Williams is the first division's top scorer and should start. Williams scored against Saints in November and then proceeded to celebrate like the non entity eejit that he is. For some strange reason, he thinks we are annoyed that it's him that scored after all the damage (or lack of it) he did against us whilst with the Ton. Idiot. There will also be a chance to slag goalkeeper Paul Jarvie, who apparently made strange noises at Broadwood, whilst the traditional "Wheeeeeeee" chants will be made in Joe Miller's direction should the pint sized former Celtic player make an appearance.

Saints will probably make changes to the team that struggled past Brechin yesterday. Old heads Kevin McGowne and Andy Millen were both rested, and their presence was sorely missed. In hindsight, it would probably have made sense to rest one yesterday and one tomorrow, but it's too late for that now. Apart from their returns, the lineup will probably be unchanged, although Mark Corcoran could start after his winning goal. Brian McGinty and Craig Hinchcliffe will miss out, whilst Billy Mehmet is doubtful.

Clyde are on a decent run and hammered Queen of the South 3-0 yesterday, whilst Saints struggled past bottom side Brechin. We're still not firing on all cylinders again, and I think the visitors will win 1-0.
