Saints v Brechin City Preview

Last updated : 20 March 2004 By Stuart Gillespie
Saints have the usual injury worries, with Eddie Annand and Laurie Ellis out. Kevin Twaddle cna finally come off the list as we've got rid of him. Hooray! Barry Lavety and Gus MacPherson will probably miss out, whilst Allan Russell is also missing. The starting 11, therefore, should be the same as it was for the midweek draw with St. Johnstone.

Brechin are on a mini revival as they try and hold on to their first division status. They got a draw away to league leaders Clyde last week, and have failed to be beaten by Saints this season. By my reckoning we're the only team not to take three points from them, something which must change. The 2-0 scoreline in the last game was the only time Brechin have ever beaten Saints, lets hope its the last for a while.

Brechin have Ally Mitchell, who was something of a non entitity for Saints last season. Hopefully he'll keep it that way today.

It's been chucking it down with rain, but the game should go ahead. Come on the Saints!
