Rangers v Saints Preview

The thing is, we just might. Rangers are extremely poor this season, and are nothing to be feared. St. Johnstone beat them on their own turf in the League Cup, whilst they lost to Inverness Caley Thistle on Wednesday. However, that defeat could be Saints biggest problem as they could end up being on the receiving end of the back lash. All season long Rangers have been having a few good games before a dodgy result; they were due one this week, sadly it came on Wednesday!

With the virus trouble at Love Street over the past few weeks, it's anyone's guess who'll be playing tomorrow for Saints. It would be nice to start with the same team that beat Falkirk on Tuesday, but I can't see that happening. Both John Sutton and Mark Corcoran looked drained when they were subbed and I'd imagine are both unlikely to be able to start. On the plus side, John Potter may have recovered enough to return, whilst Tony Bullock may also make his way back into the squad - although Chris Smith is likely to keep his place in goal. Definitely out are Stewart Kean, Brian McGinty, Alex Burke, Iain Anderson and Craig Molloy - whilst there are also doubts over the fitness of Billy Mehmet.

Rangers could have Kris Boyd back for tomorrow's match, which would be great news despite the fact most people seem to think he's rubbish. The fact is he scores goals, something Rangers desperately need at the moment, and he's far better than the giant jawed Filip Sebo. Someone else who could return is Charlie Adam, who scored against us at Love Street earlier in the season on his first game against us since his loan spell ended.

I really can't see us winning tomorrow, and with the virus and the probablity of some sort of backlash from Rangers I think we'll be hammered!
