Kilmarnock v Saints Preview

Things don't look good at the moment. We're creating few chances and are scoring hardly any goals. While we may be six points ahead of Inverness Caledonian Thistle, we have wasted some good opportunities to put a bit more distance between ourselves and the bottom side. Hopefully, we won't regret this in the future.

Unfortunately, the only likely change for tomorrow's game is Alan Reid or Ryan McCay replacing Franco Miranda. The Argentinian is suspended after being sent off last week, which is a great pity as he has been one of Saints best players so far this season. It would be great to see the likes of Chris Birchall or forgotten man Stephen O'Donnell come into the team to add a bit more attack into the team considering the poor quality of our strikers, but don't hold your breath. Garry Brady played last week and if he's to be replaced, it'll probably be by the equally ineffective Richard Brittain as the two seem to take it in turns to play. Craig Dargo, Ian Maxwell, Craig Molloy and Eddie Malone are all out as usual.

Killie lost Stevie Naismith just before the transfer window closed, but they still have plenty of players who will undoubtedly cause us problems. Colin Nish will be a handful for our bunch of midgets to deal with, while Willie Gibson seems to be in good form of late. Still, we can always hope former Saint Alan Combe makes another of his amusing errors - though it would probably go unpunished.

Jim Jeffries' side should win this match pretty easily, and I reckon they'll win 2-0.
