Falkirk v Saints Preview

There is a catch though; there is no roof! Flakirk have removed the roof from their temporary stand and generously knocked a price off the admission. Superb! The fact you should be paying £12 at most for a seat at a game in this division is obviously not the point. Falkirk have moved to a duff ground and then charged extorinate prices. They are moving to Westfield next season where they will charge a ridiculous £15.

Falkirk won the first division last season but didn't get into the SPL because their ground wasn't up to scratch. Good. They've been on for years about their new stadium being ready, but it never has been, and for next season they won't have close to 10,000 seats. They claimed at the start of the season they would have to raise admission prices at Ochilview to make up for the restricted capacity. Fair enough, except the so called cash strapped club promptly went and signed Davide Xausa and John O'Neil from SPL sides!

To make up for this, however, Flakirk have a few comedy acts. They have Russell Latapy, who has done sod all this season yet is up for a player of the year nomination. Far more importantly, they have former Nottingham Forest player Jason Lee. When playing for Forest, he had a hairstyle which looked like a pineapple and, thanks to Frank Skinner and David Baddiel on Fantasy Football, he got slagged for it. He suffered a drop in form, which was blamed on the program. The pineapple is gone, but he's still useless.

Also worthy of a laugh is the fact that Falkirk fans think former Saint Scott MacKenzie is good. Strange days indeed.

Saints will have as close to a full squad to chose from as they could wish for, the only likely absentee being Gus MacPherson. Who starts up front will be a mystery; Eddie Annand and Allan Russell started last week and both came close to scoring, before being replaced with Brian McGinty and Barry Lavety. McGinty scored, whilst Basher's presence caused problems. Add to this the fact that Robert Dunn bagged 4 (thats four) goals in a reserve game this week and yu can tell Gus will have a hard choice to make. Two out of those five (or possibly 3) will start, but which ones? i reckon McGinty and Dunn, which is no good.

At the back everyone is fit, so we'll probably go with a 3-5-2 formation again, which wasn't too bad against Ayr last week.

if we draw tomorrow and Ayr lose, or Ayr draw and we win, we're officially safe, and I think the results will work out.
